The garden side of this home looked into a deep lot. The Owners wanted to add to the house an open-plan Family Room and Kitchen, with a Master Bedroom and Ensuite Bathroom above.

We thought that each floor should get a broad window bay to capture the sunlight, and provide views into the garden. The addition is knitted back into the original house with brickwork to compliment the original structure, and a deep overhanging roof to bring more personality to it. The extra space that has been added on allows the original house interior to open up too. We removed several unnecessary interior walls, to bring sunlight deep into the building.
