The long deck that we added to this Cottage is like a boat moored alongside the cottage. The deck describes a gentle elliptical shape along the lakefront side of the building.

Restoration work in the main cottage extended to the boathouse too. Here we stabilized the dock, cut out sections of rotten cladding in the boathouse and replaced them, and painted the boathouse the same canary/ linen colours as the main house. The 2nd floor room over the water got new tongue-and-groove walls and ceilings, a simple and authentic finish typical of Muskoka.
