The Owners spend most of their summers out on Georgian Bay, and asked us to build them a boathouse with compact living quarters over top. They wanted the boathouse to look like it had always been there. The upper floor is designed like a boat interior, with Dutch beds tucked beneath the sloping roof. A modest kitchen sits at one end of the main room, which opens out onto the water from a Juliet balcony.
