The entire cottage was raised a full storey to provide a new floor, level with the lakefront. To accomplish this, we blew up the solid granite bedrock that was in the way. New rooms at the lower level open out through French doors onto the garden. A 20' by 20' upper deck has been added to allow the Living Room to open onto the lake as well.
